The President
of South Africa (February 20, 2003)
Mr. Thabo M. Mbeki
Ref: The brutal African States Alliance on Human
Rights violations:
Dear Sir:
The least we can say about what appears to be an
outright and transparent alliance between the South African government
and the Zimbabwean regime of Robert G. Mugabe, is that the people
of Zimbabwe and maybe some of South Africa too, will soon rise up
to this outrageous behavior lead and condoned by some or most of
our African leaders, as they continue to fool the world into believing
that they are still fighting white colonialism, when infact their
victims are dominantly the silenced black civilians.
Mr. Mbeki, we are appalled by your apparent ignorance
and blatant support of the massive killings, torture and the evident
genocide and war crimes perpetrations by the Zanu PF. Mugabe regime.
Your efforts together with those of Olusegun Obasanjo, to hinder
the constructive developments of your assigned Troika team on the
Zimbabwe crisis, leave a lot to be desired and indeed are clear
evidence of Africa’s dead leadership qualities.
The time to answer to such crimes of deceit will
soon come and accountability will be demanded even from those who
have been accessories before and after the facts.
